Assembly/handling

Assembly/handling

Automation components for assembly and handling have special requirements for reliability, robustness and precision. The most important process media here are compressed air and vacuum, which have to be supplied without fail to grippers and tools. High-quality metal connection components are best suited for these demanding applications. The Eisele BASICLINE offers the largest available assortment of screw-in fittings, push-in fittings, quick-release couplings, functional threaded joints and accessories for compressed air and vacuum supply. Also in highly dynamic processes with frequent movement of the connected tubes they ensure a reliable and secure connection – even after many thousand hours of operation.

The MULTILINE opens up entirely new possibilities for the implementation of modular concepts in assembly lines. The multiple couplings and multiple media connectors of the MULTILINE E series offer an innovative modular kit system for combining compressed air, vacuum, gases, coolant, liquids, electronics and electrical wiring in one connector body. A completely modular kit system with adaptive inserts ensures that exactly the required connections for a particular application can be combined in one multiple connector. The MULTILINE enables the reliable, efficient and compact connection of single components or complete assemblies in one simple step by means of a single connector for all media. Installation and set-up times are reduced significantly.

The robust and corrosion-resistant stainless steel components of the Eisele INOXLINE have proven themselves in harsh industrial environments. In addition to numerous push-in connectors they also include components with minimum dead zones and joints.

 SUCCESS STORY

Connections for the supply of spray heads for minimal lubrication

For more than 75 years the German company HPM Technologie GmbH has been constructing state-of-the-art spray heads and systems for minimal lubrication in high-precision dosing applications for all types of fluids. In applications as diverse as metal machining and food production, it is necessary to apply cooling lubricants, grease, oil, alcoholic solutions and many other fluids to surfaces and components. The supply of compressed air and liquids to the spray heads is achieved with high-quality push-in fittings from Eisele BASICLINE.

The challenge

HPM was looking for the right connections to supply the spray heads with lubricant for minimal lubrication. The connections should have the following features:

  • Large gripping surface for release of the tube
  • Eliminating any possibility of an incorrect connection
  • Particularly tight and safe connections
  • Alternative materials for use in various industries

The solution

For supplying the spray heads with lubricant for minimal lubrication, the company uses straight threaded push-in connectors of nickel-plated brass with a release sleeve from series 14 and 14A of the Eisele BASICLINE. Although the push-in connectors on the spray heads are labelled, HPM also equips them with a blue-coded aluminium sleeve from Eisele, eliminating any possibility of an incorrect connection.

The push-in connectors with a release sleeve feature a larger gripping surface for release of the tube as compared with a simple release ring. This is especially advantageous in applications that use oils or lubricants in which components near the drill or milling head can be covered with lubricant due to a malfunction of the machine or oversight on the part of the operator. For the smaller spray heads of the PSM series HPM Technologie uses series 10 of the Eisele BASICLINE. In these straight push-in connectors of black-oxidised brass the tube is held by a union nut.

But also in other industries the connections are used in combination with the spray heads and can alternatively be exchanged for stainless steel connections. For example, Y-plug connectors of the Eisele INOXLINE are used in a dosing unit for food processing and for fine distribution of grease on baking sheets. In connection with push-in connectors from Eisele, spray heads manufactured in Münsingen are also used in the printing industry, as well as in aerospace engineering.

 THE PRODUCT

The special technology of the push-in connectors of the Eisele BASICLINE enables the fast and easy assembly/disassembly of compressed air tubes. The standard versions of the BASICLINE connectors are manufactured from nickel-plated brass. They are suitable for use with tubes made of PE; PA, PU, PUR and PTFE.

  • Available in numerous version and with diverse technical details
  • Suitable for virtually all types of connections
  • High leak prevention / application reliability
