Maximum hygiene requirements fulfilled

The pharmaceutical industry has extremely high standards for hygiene and cleanliness of the products, systems and the production environment. Stainless steel is a preferred material for reliable and hygienic connection components.

The Eisele stainless steel INOXLINE includes numerous push-in fittings as well as components designed with minimal dead zones and joints to prevent the accumulation of product residue. The minimum dead zone stainless steel connections of Series 1600 and the minimum joint connections of Series 3800 are designed for use with liquid media and therefore are easy to clean, also from the inside.

Another impressive feature of the stainless steel fittings of the INOXLINE is that they are designed for easy access for cleaning”. The high-quality craftsmanship and close production tolerances of our stainless steel connections of the material 1.4404 from the INOXLINE achieve especially positive results.

  Customer quotation

“Eisele was exactly the right choice for this hygiene- and safety-critical application, because the excellent sealing and workmanship of the push-in fittings offers a decisive advantage.”

 SUCCESS STORY

Stainless steel connections for pharmaceutical industry

The German company Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau GmbH specialises in the production and development of application-specific process technology and is among the recognised experts for basic process engineering applications such as mixing, drying and granulation of bulk materials. For a GMP ploughshare mixer Lödige chose leakproof INOXLINE push-in fittings from Eisele.

The challenge

For the GMP ploughshare mixer used in an American pharmaceutical company Lödige was looking for the right compressed air connections. The new solution required the following features:

  • Easy-to-clean
  • No contamination of the media by the materials
  • Particularly tight and safe connections
  • Leakage-free

The solution

Lödige uses Eisele 17A compressed air connections made of stainless steel to operate the shovel dryer, due to the requirement for leak-proof and secure connections. Of course, the cleaning-friendly design and corrosion resistance of the push-in fittings of stainless steel 1.4301/1.4307 also played a part. Stainless steel was chosen to ensure hygienic conditions and easy cleaning of all surfaces. Furthermore the release sleeves of push-in fittings with an inner collet enable quick connection and disconnection of the tube.

The Eisele stainless steel connectors are used in the application at room temperature and a pressure level of up to six bar. Since the system is designed for processing highly active hormones, the choice of absolutely leak-proof components was essential to eliminate any possibility of parts of the product entering the environment. The special sealing technology of Series 17A with two seals of FKM in the collet was therefore a decisive factor.

 THE PRODUCT

The push-in fittings of the Eisele INOXLINE are made of high quality non-corrosive and acid-resistant stainless steel. Based on the design of our time-proven standard components, the stainless steel connectors are easy and almost completely cleanable. Impurities hardly find a hold and do not impair the function of the easy-to-clean tube connections. The INOXLINE includes push-in fittings with one or two seals, screw-in fittings as well as fittings with minimal dead zones or joints.
