Automated miniload warehouse under construction

Eisele's production site located on Lise-Meitner-Straße in the industrial park in Waiblingen continues to grow. In the fall of 2014, a 1,460 square metre production hall was completed; now an automated miniload warehouse is being built on an adjacent lot.

The Stuttgart-based viastore SYSTEMS GmbH was commissioned to automate the warehouse processes. The viastore shuttle solution has space for 17,280 bins and can be expanded to a capacity of 26,780 bins. They are moved by five viaflex3 shuttles with two lifts. This system ensures a logistics process with maximum versatility and precision. The shuttles move on rails that are mounted on the storage shelves and are raised to the respective tier by means of lifts. They can also automatically move to different aisles, for optimal utilization of the existing space. The warehouse is expected to be completed in March 2018 and will expand Eisele’s logistical capacity for optimal orientation to the growing export share of the company’s business.
